My buddy Sean commented on FB about wanting to make up a "Warehouse 13" drinking game.

I told him about the "Passion of the Christ" drinking game americanstd and I came up with when the movie came out. We drank whenever Jeezus lost a pint of blood, and I was hungover two days later.

Note I said "Jeezus" not "Jesus". My mommy saw the comment and said she was disappointed (in me) because some things shouldn't be made fun of.

I said we weren't making fun of Jesus, because Jesus wasn't in that movie. Jeezus was. We were making fun of the movie itself, which she didn't see because she felt it would be too upsetting.

This is yet another reason I hate "The Passion of the Mel". It's become conflated with Christianity itself, to the extent that if you hate the movie, you must hate Jesus himself. Considering that the movie is borderline hate literature (some Jews would say it crossed the line into that area) and a paean to non-consensual S/M, this leaves me puzzled indeed.

I don't think my mommy would understand this if I told her.
