lady_kishiriaI didn't want to leave work at noon Friday my first day of a new job. So, I booked a 7 pm flight to San Diego on Southwest, and arranged a rental car.
At about 2 on Friday, I got an automated call from Southwest saying my flight was delayed until 9:45 pm. It's a 1.25 hour flight, so I'd be getting in at 11, then have to collect my bags, get my rental car, and go to my hotel.
I left a whopping 15 minutes early from work and just drove. I was in bed at my hotel before the plane even landed.
Getting here early was a priority because today was PT test day. I again got a 267, even though I'd been fretting it. I had been so worried I called![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
electorprince along the way for assurance that it was okay to be on my "A" game every day of my life. He assured me this was so, and I went and smoked the test anyhow. I'm such a goof.
After that, work was uneventful. I joined a couple of friends in Oceanside for Peruvian food which wasn't as good as the meals Steve and I had in Tucson a few weeks ago. Still enjoyable though, especially for the company.
My right hip hurts like a sonofagun though, so I have to work on curing that in the next six months.
