Jan. 18th, 2005 05:10 pmI spent the day working away on editing my dissertation. I realize that when I hit the end of this chapter, I have to add my observations on how the Feast of Guadalupe is celebrated, and pick the photos that will accompany that section. So more writing lies ahead. Still, my goal is to finish this edit by the end of the week.
I also got Don's and Eva's Christmas package into the mail (yes, I know it's late, but he's still looking for a gift for me and Steve!), got my new used clothes to the dry-cleaner, and picked up some notebooks I'm going to transcribe into MS Word for a student at the law school, for money. I also bought a very wild new cactus that I have yet to photograph.
And finally some very welcome though pretty unexpected news that I've been sitting on since early yesterday morning:
If you're a Gundam fanfic writer who employs His Divine Shadow as an editor, rejoice, cause his ass is COMING HOME. Next Thursday or Friday, probably. I've learned to distrust the government enough that I expect he'll be back to Baghdad in July or so, but in the here and now, he'll soon be back among us. Huzzah.
