May. 24th, 2006 10:10 amRecently the pollen has been so bad that it's dusting the cars. Not surprisingly I've been suffering from allergies--and so has the Kaiser.
We knew he had breathing problems when we got them, but we figured they were all a result of the upper respiratory infection (URI) that he had when he and Mei-Mei went into the Humane Society.
Nope. The cat has allergies and asthma. (Head-desk)
Fortunately, the bronchiodilation medicine he needs to take is dirt-cheap, but it's yet another pill to give him. His health is otherwise good; he has appetite, likes to play, and is putting on weight.
In other things, it's blasphemy to say this around here, but I despise 99 Ranch. I dislike it's higher prices, the fact that it tries to cover up that "This is an Asian grocery store" smell, even its very hours (it opens at 0900). This is why I try to point everyone towards the Vien Dong chain, particularly the store in Linda Vista. Yes, I know that shopping center has slightly less gunfire than Baghdad, but it's worth it. I was in the neighbourhood anyway, so I stopped by for some red curry paste that 99 Ranch doesn't seem to carry. To my delight, I found that they DO stock Indomie brand noodles and have purchased the BBQ Chicken, the Satay and the Hot and Spicy. Unfortunately,
patgund doesn't have a lot of connection out there in Qatar at the moment, so I can't ask him which one to try first unless he's able to read this entry.
