We went to Pei Wei twice today, and my two fortune cookies dovetailed:

1. Your warmth radiates onto all others around you.

2. Others look up to you.

Dunno if that's completely true; I miss the mark pretty frequently *I* think. But I do try.

Put in your zip code or the zip code of a place you're interested in to get lots and lots of reviews of, well, everything. This is the site from which I learned that our local Vons is Crazy Vons, just as the Ralphs in Hillcrest is predictably Gay Ralphs. Dunno why the Ralphs on 2nd Street downtown gets such bad reviews; sure it's more expensive (it's across from Horton's Plaza) but the food counter is awesome and I enjoy watching street people use their begged change to buy healthy food. I'm benevolent that way. It's also the cheapest food option during Comic-Con. I suppose I should put that in my inevitable review.

This is a friend of [personal profile] swestrup's and [personal profile] taxlady. He has leukemia and needs a donor who is preferably black and Caribbean. I've thrown my hat into the ring and am waiting to hear from them; [personal profile] mahogany, you should register if you haven't already. It's just a mouth swab.

Even if none of us people of African descent (feels odd to type that) are a match, apparently the bone marrow registries are sadly lacking in registrants who aren't white. We need to address that.
