I left Mei-Mei with gold-plated gushy fudz in her bowl. Me, I hit the sack at a little after 9. This morning, gushy fudz were gone, so I put in the gold-plated dry food and she's eaten that. She's acting as if nothing was wrong although there does seem to be a renal problem which we'll deal with as it comes. Hopefully it won't be serious; Dennis Murphy of blessed memory died of chronic renal failure as many of you remember.

We will never, ever allow ourselves to run out of gold-plated cat food again. I'll keep a standing order with the vet.

I'll know by noon what else is wrong, but right now, Mei-Mei is definitely back to her old self. Thank you all for prayers and good wishes.

Since Mei-Mei has been told she must only eat gushy fudz for the sake of her kidneys, I now have most of a bag of Purina DM (for diabetic kitties with no kidney problems) and some of a bag of Eukanuba Mature Cat. Does anyone want it? I actually wouldn't mind a donation for the DM; it was expensive and she's only been served maybe a cup of it.

The Barenaked Ladies with the track off their demo cassette (my roommate Ian had it) "Lovers in a Dangerous Time."

Brings back memories. The comments are interesting; one poster gives the location as McCowan Road and Eglinton Avenue, though all of Eglinton from Yonge on east pretty much looks the same. I used to hang out in Don Mills at Eglinton and the Don Valley Parkway; [livejournal.com profile] helenkacan remembers. Total shithole, even if it was across the street from the Science Centre.
