This is gonna be scary.

electorprince will be here in about three hours. He's flying in uniform, which means I had to pull my ACUs out of the dufflebag and put on the CENTCOM patch so I can meet him dressed accordingly.

Might as well, as I have to start going to drill and shit like that already. I have to have the 78th sign off on my transfer to the 11th MPs, among other things. I don't WANT to go to drill already, but I have to make my transfer because I have to attend a mandatory 27D training in early August in Nashville...auggh. I so wanted three months without the frigging Army in my life.

So, back into uniform with me. At least the photos should be cute.

The eternal americanstd is ready for July 4th. The house is full of MEAT although we did buy Boca Burgers for Bean!. We bought rum, we have cigars and I imagine MAJ T will bring over more since he's back in town too. Rock Band is installed and americanstd, Bean! and I all played last night till about 1 a.m.

So all's well except for this big Army Damocles sword that I hoped wouldn't be over my head for another couple of months. No rest for the wicked, I suppose.
