lady_kishiriaI hate marine layers. Hate them, hate them, hate them. Between that and a certain monthly non-event, I just want to hide, not force myself to keep re-writing chapter 6. I am compromising by restructuring and re-writing in small increments and alternating with the other things I need to do, like clean the house before the 'rents get here.
Had a fairly long chat last night with Shadow. That was nice, we haven't talked in a while. I'm hoping that the Army won't send him and his coworkers out to Ft. Irwin for six weeks when I'm going to need his pep-talks (in paper mail form) the most. He's also urging me to start hanging around GOUF some, which I haven't been doing.
I cut our chat short to go out to the SF Meetup. It was a strangely small gathering, I would say about 14 people. It was still nice talking tonolly, buddykat, and patgund. Didn't get to talk to caprine as much as I wanted, but later.
I came home to find a note from SteveO that he was at Kelly's Pub. He returned home in a state of inebriation so severe he almost got banished to the couch. Today, we can all point and laugh.
I'm going to work a bit more, then go out to see if some manga and maybe a cookie and coffee might make me feel a little better.
