(trivia time: Did you know that miniature sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer served in the Haganah, the paramilitary precurssor to the modern Israeli Defense Forces? She was field medic and she even was wounded in action.)
And it's not just industrialized nations. You wouldn't believe how many Islamic countries allow women to serve in the armed forces. Just this week, there was news out of Pakistan about the first female combat pilot in their air force.
