A severely allergic friend and I were at Denny's one night and we both ordered the Nachos. When they came out, my friend could *smell* the tomatoes in the meat - the waitress was *great* and tried to find out if there were tomatoes in the ingredients... the manager was a total and complete moron who tried to say that because it wasn't listed on their "allergy alert" sheets, they didn't have tomatoes in them. Tomatoes weren't even listed on the allergy alert sheet. We reported it to corporate and that manager received some "retraining" (and hopefully some smacking upside the head). We have since found that saying "no tomatoes, I'm deathly allergic" produces much better results.
