3 a.m. I cannot sleep. I haven't slept well or correctly in days and days, and I think this is what is getting to my mood. That and the dang heat. Well, it's actually fairly cool in this room (I'm in Orange County) but I just cannot get to sleep. I feel like my skin doesn't fit. The mattress makes noise. I feel like writing a long essay on how to write characters who are not of the same sex you are, for Shadow's benefit. (He says he gets uncomfortable writing women.) Writing long essays is a great way to make sure I won't sleep, either. I think I am nervous about the con tomorrow.
