Aug. 19th, 2004 11:45 amHoly crap, I didn't realize it was already the 19th. So much for my goal of a complete rough draft by Labour Day, though it'll be fairly close. I'm hoping to get this next chapter to bed by tomorrow.
We took
badira to the vet due to her perpetually filthy and itchy ears. She doesn't have mites, and it's not dirt from outside. Dr. Jeremy looked in her ears and can't see her eardrums. He said this means one of two things: first, that she no longer has eardrums or second that her eardrums are so far down that they are below a layer of dirt.
I can tell you with certainty that she can hear. She looks up on hearing her name called and last night when Steve responded to her midnight hollering by getting up to pour kibble into her dish, she took off for the kitchen as soon as she heard the telltale noise of kibble landing in the bowl.
Once again, my cat ain't human, I swear.
