Oct. 1st, 2004 09:07 amWhen I'm depressed, I have found that Greek food snaps me out. Don't know why, but it always has. One winter night I was ready to kill myself and Don dragged me off to one of the Greek places on Prince-Arthur. A spanokopita and half bottle of white wine later I was ready to face life again.
So I'm feeling okay. Course it doesn't hurt at all that I watched GEORGE BUSH GET HIS ASS HANDED TO HIM ON A PLATTER last night!
I remember being told "Don't say George Bush is an idiot or a moron unless you see his IQ results." Well, IQ is subjective...but the fact is that Bush could not articulate a single thought all evening, kept repeating the same phrases over and over, and couldn't keep it straight that Saddam Hussein did not attack the US on September 11. Or as he put it at one moment, September 10.
Kerry kept his position clear, explained his plans, and overall just came across as knowing what he was doing and knowing what he was going to do. I was previously saying that I wasn't all that excited about Kerry, beyond the amusement of having a president who looked like Dozel Zabi, but now I kind of am. I want another intellectual in the White House. I'm an intellectual myself, so that's what I like and yes, I do think people who read and speak multiple languages have a better shot of running a country well. (To be fair, I think Bush's Spanish is competent. However he openly admits that he does not read and that terrifies me.)
Al Franken just came on, I've got 3 pages written of my last dissertation chapter, and all's well with the world. Yay!

In all honesty, I didn't see last night why people have a problem with Kerry. So he wasn't exciting, big deal, he made his point and that's the point of a debate.
Just get him to grow his hair out and take a big shard of glass to his chin and you'll get the Dozul Zabi look down too.
