Rodney Dangerfield died last night. This makes me very, very sad. He was always so funny, and I liked how the characters he played were wiseass slobs who were nonetheless salt-of-the-earth and big-hearted. Too many people play smartasses who are just *mean*, and he didn't do that. Plus he always had that Jewish Vaudeville feeling about his work that was the signature of many comics now long gone.

I think I better go watch "Caddyshack" again....
