No more Great Wall of Books!
Jul. 12th, 2003 10:14 pmSteve and I went on a house-cleaning kick today. He vacuumed and steam-cleaned the foyer, I scrubbed the counters, he washed the kitchen floor, I did some tidying on the living room. He suggested I start going through all the boxes of books that have been sitting under the living room side of our kitchen counter since we moved in. So I did, and he arranged them more tightly in fewer boxes (the crappy packing job being done by good old Tony). They are now 3 in number, stacked neatly in the office closet. I also have a large box to go to the public library or the like. Occasionally I have books that I have never read and cannot see myself ever reading, so they are getting donated or sent as presents.
Or sold on E-Bay. I have the 5-volume photonovel set for the first Mobile Suit Gundam movie up for grabs.$50 plus S&H will make you the proud owner of this collector´s item. I have the Roman Albums and 2 versions of the movie, so I don´t really feel I have to keep these.
We were going to see ¨Pirates of the Caribbean¨ but Steve needed a nap. At 9:15 I couldn´t wake him up, so I started working on my dissertation again, just to show myself I can really still do it. I´ve updated my bibliography and found an article to look up tomorrow at USD after Mass.
