Jul. 17th, 2003 05:45 pmI know it's been a while since I updated; I have been horribly busy. I got the job at ProSource and started officially yesterday. The work is boring as hell, just general office stuff, but any job is endurable if you're being treated like a human being worthy of dignity and not a slave or a mangy dog. We've also hired a gal named Sarah who is ex-Navy, blonde and zaftig, not to mention really funny.
Comic-Con is going on right now. Yesterday I worked, drove to the Diocesan Institute, taught my class, drove out to the airport, and picked up Mike. That was tedious because even though his plane landed on time, there was another plane at the gate so he had to stay on the runway for half an hour. I hate airports, and San Diego's is particularly bad.
So now I am baking some chicken to go into a coconut curry. Steve wants to go back to the con, but I don't have time to get there and get my membership since Registration closes at 6, which is utterly dumbass for a con, when many people are arriving after work. but this is, after all, San Diego where people think they'll be damned forever if they do any kind of work. I used to think Montrealers were lazy, but I hadn't seen anything yet.
Steve gets mad at me for bitching about San Diego and San Diegans, but this is my journal and I´l bitch if I want.

Okay, that sounds like I'm crazy. Not really, it just gives relief in a non-judgemental way.
Great to hear about a better job that is less likely to make you feel like a piece of meat.
*hugs*
