I put on my tie-dye hippie chick dress and off we all went to the con anyway. I started out the day by going to the Gundam Super-Defender panel. I know some people must be bitching about this show, which has cutesy mecha defending ¨Neotopia¨, but it´s not for US. It´s for our KIDS. It´s so we can start them off nice and early on Gundam fandom. I´m not going to watch the show (though it looks like it´ll be comforting if you´re sick with the flu) but I *will* buy toys for my little nephew.

We took one last look at the exhibition hall, then attended a panel on copyright law and how it affects derivative works. As a fanfiction writer, this was important to me. After that, Mike had bought tickets to the musical 1776 at the Lyceum. This is just about my favourite musical hands-down, and I think Steve liked it too. Then off to Ashoka for Indian food, and now we are chillin´ at the pad.

Oh, last night we came home early cause we were tired and watched the movie we got via Netflix, ¨Ringu¨. This is just another great movie. It makes 110% more sense than the American version. Steve enjoyed it and he usually hates foreign movies.

What was the final verdict on derivative works? Companies can tell you to go die whenever they want, I assume?

And I've been looking for Ringu for months now. No store in town has it :/
