Jul. 20th, 2003 08:40 pmI put on my tie-dye hippie chick dress and off we all went to the con anyway. I started out the day by going to the Gundam Super-Defender panel. I know some people must be bitching about this show, which has cutesy mecha defending ¨Neotopia¨, but it´s not for US. It´s for our KIDS. It´s so we can start them off nice and early on Gundam fandom. I´m not going to watch the show (though it looks like it´ll be comforting if you´re sick with the flu) but I *will* buy toys for my little nephew.
We took one last look at the exhibition hall, then attended a panel on copyright law and how it affects derivative works. As a fanfiction writer, this was important to me. After that, Mike had bought tickets to the musical 1776 at the Lyceum. This is just about my favourite musical hands-down, and I think Steve liked it too. Then off to Ashoka for Indian food, and now we are chillin´ at the pad.
Oh, last night we came home early cause we were tired and watched the movie we got via Netflix, ¨Ringu¨. This is just another great movie. It makes 110% more sense than the American version. Steve enjoyed it and he usually hates foreign movies.
