Jul. 23rd, 2003 05:39 pmYeah, I've been busy as you can probably guess. Working full time takes a lot of your slack. However for the past 2 nights I've been careful to do at least a little work on "Quinto Sol". Must have something to send to His Divine Shadow and Zinegata. It's being a real pain finding geographical maps of Oaxaca and Veracruz though, to plan the repelling of the invasion.
I'm continuing to do well at work. Still not my dream job, but the fact that I am finally clear-headed and even-tempered enough to do my work competently, not dropping any of the tasks I'm juggling, is enough to make me one happy camper. The fact that I'm being REWARDED for it is unbelievable. I keep thinking, when are they going to turn on me?
I just was given a 50 cent an hour raise after one week because they are afraid I might go somwhere else and they want to keep me. I can't believe this. I'd say this is too good to be true, but I'm a near-PhD doing office work in a floor covering place so no, it's not. But it IS a welcome break, and I'm going to learn everything I can from it.
Speaking of learning, last class tonight. I love teaching, but with me working full time I'm glad it's over for now.
