So my raise has been applied RETROACTIVELY and the person who will assist me must be vetted by me as well as Ed, Mustafa, and Trini.

A raise AND an assistant? Can't deal! Hyperventilating!

I am happy, grateful, and overwhelmed to be in a job where I am being treated extraordinarily well. However, if I am still in this job in 2 years, something will have gone horribly wrong with my life. A good break, yes. Something I want permanently, no. For one thing, it would mean being in San Diego after 2 years and that´s an awful thought indeed.
