Had a good day today, only mildly marred by allergies. americanstd had a stroll around North Park/Normal Heights, stopping at the North Park Produce store that had been recommended to us. They have a lot of terrific imported goods, but we weren't really food shopping, so I bought an ice cream sandwich and left it at that.

Yes, ice cream. I had my pills on me, and I can't resist an ice cream whose ingredients are milk, sugar, rosewater, saffron, and a binder whose name I don't remember. I do like rose-flavoured things. After, we just strolled around looking at buildings.

naohai wanted big black stompy boots, so I drove down to the naval base where we obtained same. The Marines are in desert boots, so the Navy is about the last option. naohai seemed pleased with the purchase, so I'm sure we'll hear more about that via naohai's LJ. I forgot to make the gift of leftover Kiwi though.

Later on, patgund came by with Little Bit, whom I'd never met. She's a bouncy and charming child who of course couldn't resist Mei-Mei, who was wearing her pink collar for the occasion. My big stuffed Haro and SD Gundam were big hits; poor patgund is going to have to be buying some of the DVDs even though the show made his blood glucose skyrocket; Bandai really did do their market research with this one and Little Bit, being the target audience, went from it in a huge way. Adorable kid, and I think she had fun.

And now, me for book and bed.
