Last day at this firm

Last day at O&N. I anticipate 8 hours of being on the internet, a lot, although we're going out to lunch at the Yardhouse if anyone wants to come by.

Tomorrow: Hep. B shot, on my own medical insurance but at the Army's bidding (the numbskulls never finished the Hep. B series when I was at AIT), fix the CAC card at the Navy base, align the tires, also at the Navy base, lunch with El Frijol, perhaps getting together later with seki_raku.

Now that the complex fixed the laundry facilities, I can cleanse the garments at any time, which is done. So Caturday starts on coming home tonight. Mei-Mei will be pleased.

Christian homemaker wars! (for desert_vixen

A while ago I posted about Candy Brauer, who runs http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com . I mentioned that I liked her despite her biblical fundamentalism because of her great recipes, interest in natural foods and libertarian outlook.

However, I've been losing my fondness for her. Recently she's been more about the anti-Catholicism than anything else, and it's just dreary because she doesn't want to hear any teaching explained or myth disproved. She's also over the moon that her husband POSTS ON FORUMS for Bill O'Reilly's and Sean Hannity's shows. I mean WOW! Posting on forums! I'm so wildly impressed.

While this Catholic housewife isn't anti-Candy per se, she's putting a lot of time and effort into a site dedicated to daily rebuttals of Candy's Jack Chick-fueled diatribes. She says that there are blogs for the same organizational and dietary things that Candy promotes but without the annoying anti-Catholicism. I'll check them out because while Candy's got my teeth hurting, that recipe for banana cake with sweet yogurt frosting looks awful tasty.
