lady_kishiriaNote to self: No sugar ever again. EVER! The headache and confusion that results is NOT WORTH IT. I had a small candy bar (emphasis on the small) for the chocolate and I feel like homegrown hell. Hopefully the chicken cordon bleu, steamed broccoli and rice I'm making for dinner will counteract it.
I finally got around to watching "Advent Children". I've never played the game, but I know enough of the plot (from fanfic, I admit it) to have "gotten" it. It works just as eye candy, but with my sketchy knowledge of the game I managed to understand and enjoy the story too. Good ending.
I also am doing the first reading for proposals for the CTSA (Catholic Theological Society of America) conference in San Antonio this fall. The theme is "Theology in Dialogue" and the two panels that have caught my eye are "Christian Interpretations of the Bhagavad Gita" for which I'm thinking of bringing in the Just War Theory, and "Islamic Ethics In Regard To Catholic Social Thought". I'm considering Islamic concepts of charity in contrast with Catholic ones. Islam has a pretty strong charitable ethic, and Catholics are historically better "givers" than Proddos because we have the whole "works + faith" ideal as opposed to "salvation is by grace alone" ideal. I just need to assemble a small bibliography and get going, although I'm still waiting to be called by my agency so I can get out and scare up some dollars.
