The stench is still here. Steve smelled it last night across the street and agrees it might be a dead body, stashed in one of those semi-disused garages. It's a dead-body sort of neighbourhood we live in, so this is not outside the realm of possibility.

On that note, breakfast!

If its likely a body, isn't there someone you should call and inform?

NO. I want nothing to do with it. See below.

Even better, invite folks over and FEED! Should be gamey enough now to be very tender.

It's probably the cadaver of a meth fiend with gang ties. Not something I'd want to be ingesting.

If I'm going to eat a human, I want it to be one that's had a healthy diet, drug-free, with reasonable hygiene. I spurn animal flesh that has been kept in unsanitary condition and fed drugs (I steer RIGHT for the BST-free milk too, thanks very much), my standards are even higher for human flesh.

I found that International Coffees makes a sugar-free chai. I put it back on the shelf on finding that it's based on non-dairy creamer with aspartame as the sweetener. No. That is not something I'm putting in my body.

C'mon doll, (and by "doll" I mean a GI Joe) you've known me for 4 years now, surely you have some clue as to my food habits?

Yeah, but I didn't realize how finicky an eater you are. "Healthy diet", "drug free" AND "reasonable hygiene" all at the SAME TIME?? You'll be lucky to see two of the three in civilized places. ^_-

Besides, you haven't even confirmed presence of KIA yet. I'd offer to go and sniff it myself, but I don't think even MY nose can reach that far.

[profile] americanstd will be happy to complain loud and long to you about my pickiness. It's not the usual finickiness, which is related to restricted taste in food, as I'm an adventurous eater to say the least. I mean, how many people do you know who would go out looking to find and eat corn fungus and fried agave worm? (That's the worm you find in the bottle of mescal.) My finickiness comes in my insistence that food be healthy and relatively free of un-natural...stuff. I'm not a hound for everything being organic, but I like to see as few chemical names, or at least only chemical names that make up ordinary kitchen ingredients, as possible.

Tangentially, a box of chai will be on its way to you (at your Ft. Hood address) tomorrow.

You have to come and get it yourself. We don't want to be connected to this in any way, if it is in fact a human cadaver, because we know it would be gang related.

Which makes me grumble stupid gang members, that's what the desert along the border near Otay is for.

Is there no way it can be reported anonymously?

'Cuz having that nearby is just weird and uggghh.

Holding-my-nose hugs,
