My copy of "History of Art" and "Strangely Enough" both came in. "Strangely Enough" is the abridged version, but I guess that must be the one I'm used to because it's got all the stories I remember in there.
I just danced around with my "History of Art". I'm so happy to have it again. I started flipping through pages and quickly came to the photo of the famous mosaic in Ravenna of Empress Theodora. I think this must have been my first exposure to the portrait of this formidable lady, and it never fails to make an impression on me. I'll keep looking through there later so I can find the portrait statue of the German noblewoman Uta, because her image was also a favourite.
