CBC found this hilarious. I particularly like "A Canadian Prime Minister has more power than a U.S. president!"

Also that the courts instituted Marxism in Canada...I guess he doesn't want to hear how the Social Credit movement was founded by religious conservatives in the Canadian prairies during the Depression as a "New Deal" kind of situation

See earlier comment about wanting to shove a bowling ball down Harper's throat.

Weyrich has had my contempt for years, something about his belief that Pagans should not be allowed to serve in the military........

A sentiment that Bush echoed wholeheartedly!

Except that Pagans, in particular Wiccans, do serve in the US military, and even the Chaplain's Corps has had to adapt and integrate to accomodate. I won't say it was an easy transition, but what ever is?

I am well aware of this, and even posted about it a couple of weeks ago. It remains a fact that Bush is on record as saying that he does not believe paganism should be recognized as a religion by the armed forces (ABC news, June 2000).

My bad, it was in June of 1999, when he was still governor of Texas.

Times change. He's in a better position to do something about it now than he was as Governor of Texas, and he hasn't, so either it's not as big a deal as all this, or he's changed his mind.

Steve will roll his eyes and say, "Yes, yes, George Bush eats babies," but I've yet to hear him say one word that would inlcine me to thinking he's changed his mind. If anything, his words about how a president must be religious (I'll have to go back through entries to recall if he was specific about Christianity or not) do not endear him to me. In the unlikely occurence that I become US president, expect me to be dead silent on the matter of my religious faith and observance. As it should be; Mexico had it right until Fox (who I otherwise don't mind) came along.

I almost thought this was a "Rabbit Hole Day" post...but unfortunately, it's for real!

Marxist Judges, I don't think so...Liberal and Hedonistic..maybe. But the funniest thing that I came across was the name of Paul Weyrich organization...The "Free Congress Foundation". Sounds like a "Free Love" group to me! :-)
