Knock knock knock on my front door. I answer it, nice young man wanting to talk about "the pain of what happens after a person dies". I inform him that yes, my grandmother died last week---and she's with God. He smiles and I see the copy of "The Watchtower" in his hand. I feel my teeth starting to grow and get pointy. He says yes, that's what he wants to talk about. "The Jehovah's Witnesses believe in soul sleep," I rattle off, "which means that they lie in wait of a day when they will be resurrected out of the MEMORY of God. That's bullshit." I slammed the door in his face.
I'm applying for another job, so I'm reworking the resume. I hate this.

Date: 2006-03-17 07:34 pm (UTC)Me: *wearing my shirt with a big pentacle on it* Funny, I didn't think reincarnation was that painful or that you knew what was better for me to believe in than me myself. *slams door*
Guh. I can't stand anyone trying to push their beliefs on me as if I'm not allowed to think for myself.

And they DO have one of the most fantastically stupid theologies I've ever heard of, short of the Mormons and Scientologists. (Once space aliens get involved, it's Game Over.)
