lady_kishiriaWhen we first got the cats, the Tsaritsa had a nearly-bald streak down her back that had been caused by nervous over-grooming. She also had this hilarious bald belly.
I'm happy to report that the bald streak on her back is growing out well. I was looking at her today and had a hard time seeing where it was/had been. Her tummy is getting grey fuzz over it, so chalk both things up to the stresses of first person disappearing, incarceration in a single room for a year, and then the Humane Society.
A couple of days ago I was standing with Steve, who was at his computer. The Tsaritsa looked at us from the couch and then rolled onto her back so she could look at us upside down. The exclamations of "Strike the pose!" and "Work it, girl!" seemed to be what she wanted. Since she's already mastered the art of sitting in front of you and tipping her head to the side, with a little "Brreeep!" if you don't notice fast enough, we think she practices in front of a mirror when we're not home with her brother critiquing with observations like, "Oh yeah. That's worth at least a piece of bacon."
Lent wasn't feeling Lenten enough, so I've given up alcohol for the next three weeks, just so people know.
