What kind of target rifle is it ... a professional air rifle, rim fire or other?

If I remember right from my time with the military folks in Germany, heroin can be smoked but only in the sense that one inhales the vapors from the heroin which is usually heated from below. I've never tried a drug in my life but not everyone in my family was an angel. ;)

A .22 rim fire Anschutz long rifle.

The process you describe is called "freebasing". You can do that with heroin, but again, it's normally injected.

Thats a very nice and cool rifle. I've been interested in getting one of those but the decent ones can be pretty spendy. The one I was looking at cost more than my AR-15 but it would still be a lot of fun to have and enter into some competitions with.

I knew it was something like that. Now that you named it for me I remember. Can't say it sounds entertaining at all and I remember hearing stories from gals working at the army hospital about idiots who got burned freebasing.

Richard Pryor burned himself very badly freebasing.

The rifle is actually americanstd's. He got it because his Boy Scout camp was replacing them and they were selling them cheaply, IIRC.
