Hospital for sick bears
Jan. 11th, 2004 01:22 pmSteve choked up green goo today, so we promptly took him to the walk-in clinic run by the Scripps medical system, which is the one through which his insurance works.
I have to say that I can't complain. We waited maybe 45 minutes, not bad for a Sunday, and the physician's assistant who saw him was very good. He wasn't antibiotics-happy and only gave Steve one because he was making bronchitis noises as opposed to flu noises. They also took some mucus for a culture to make sure of the diagnosis, but that won't be in until tomorrow.
Steve starts classes again tomorrow, so it's good that this get treated.
As for me, I'm aiming for the LSAT and starting law school come Fall. Theology is not paying off, and I feel horribly stretched out between here and Montreal. I need to learn a trade, and since Law is nothing but researching and writing, that sounds like an ideal one for me. Plus, I've been watching Steve and his friends study for a year and a half now and it looks so interesting. I'm thinking of either prosecution or International Law. Prosecution because I am not vengeful and thus I think I'd make a fair and just prosecutor, International Law because that's my background and who knows, maybe I finally will do something of value.
So when Steve comes home from the pharmacy, I'll start looking at the tests.
