The things that matter.
Jan. 23rd, 2004 11:05 pmI noticed that I'd missed a few things since the fires in October. One was my Zeon/Jion pendant. Another was a rosary that was willed to me by the grandmother of a family who are friends with my parents, a woman to whom I was quite close as a child.
Well, the pendant could be replaced, but the rosary could not. I was getting very vexed, looking through boxes and bags, wondering what happened to them.
Steve recalled that I hadn't looked in my briefcase though. I checked and sure enough, there they were together. I'd felt at the time they were both things I had to flee with. One thing I didn't recall was that I'd thrown in my great-grandfather's silver pocketwatch. I was happy to see that. It's the pocketwatch I like to set by the atomic clock in Ottawa. ^_^
