wee tiny triumphs
Jan. 28th, 2004 08:54 pmI went to this wine store near my place o' business after work. I'd only noticed it a couple of weeks ago, and I like to keep a few bottles of wine in the house at all times. This is because it comes in handy for short-notice parties. This habit of mine has saved our butts for at least one birthday.
Well, it's pretty nice. Upstairs they have a bistro with wine tastings every Friday, but I didn't see it. They have sale wines, each with its place of origin and a review. I came away with a merlot, a pinot noir, and a shiraz, all for $24.
After that, I drove home and had an hour or so until I had to pick up Steve from school, so I opened up my LSAT book and did an analytical reasoning section. I'd been struggling with these, getting as many as 10 out of 24 wrong last time which had me very depressed. This time I got 20 out of 24 CORRECT, which lifted my spirits to no end. I think all I need to do is work on the logic puzzles, which are everybody's bane. If I get 2 sections of those I'll throw in the towel at the exam, but otherwise, i think I might do all right.
