Looking for non-white bone marrow donors

This is a friend of swestrup's and taxlady. He has leukemia and needs a donor who is preferably black and Caribbean. I've thrown my hat into the ring and am waiting to hear from them; mahogany, you should register if you haven't already. It's just a mouth swab.

Even if none of us people of African descent (feels odd to type that) are a match, apparently the bone marrow registries are sadly lacking in registrants who aren't white. We need to address that.

It's almost certain you would not be a match, but it's a good thing to be registered for anyway. There's no rush for you to do so until after ETS.
