Huh.

After my frenzy earlier, I went to the gym and took advantage of the fact that the scale is in the locker room and not out in the hall as at some other Ys. I weighed myself in my underwear and was 128 lbs. That's still 3 pounds heavier than I want, but not the 130+ I was anticipating. I had a brutal run and did 80 situps with little effort so I feel better.

I think my clothes may have shrunk. We wash our clothes in cold, but Steve likes to dry them in the hottest drier for about half an hour. I've protested before that that's too much, so we'll experiment on laundry night with more driers, smaller loads, and lower temperatures.

As for the dissertation, I'm working on it and am just taking a break. If all goes well I'll take tomorrow evening or Thursday evening off. Many of the changes are things I will explain to my director when we meet next week, because she doesn't quite "get" spoken English. Others of her corrections are quite valid.

In Norse news, happy feast day, Loki.

Oh yeah, that sounds like clothing shrinkage. I find that dryers shrink clothes more than hot water washing.

80 sit-ups -- impressive! I'm lucky if I can do 30.

I dry all of my clothes on low at home. When I have to go to the laundromat, I don't dry on anything higher then medium; I'd rather pay a bit more to dry them and not have my clothes shrink excessively.

Yah, I dry all my clothes on medium because of the shrinkage issue.

80 situps? Damn!

Hot driers = will shrink your clothes. I found this out the hard way, so even though it may mean your clothes will be slightly damp at least you'll still be able to fit into them.

And yes, Loki got His offering from us tonight.

Yup, we did a blot of beer stolen from Ryan.
