Okay, granted that one of the reasons I left this country originally was the prevalence of religion in government, when did this place officially become a theocracy? I've spent the past couple of days in an atmosphere of pervasive mandatory Christianity. Now, I'm a Catholic Christian, but the surest way to turn me away from something is to tell me I *must* do it.

At work, Trini and Josephina are loudly Christian. Today Steve and I went to Jim's 8th birthday and only stuck around for an hour. We were the only non-family members there, and they had all just gone to see the Jeezus movie. So a bunch of them were sitting around debriefing from the film while the rest were kind of quiet. Steve looked at my watch and said he had to study, so we left and I was glad. He said I was behaving myself wonderfully, but that he could see it was really a strain.

On Monday, if anyone brings religion up, I'm Buddhist. This is actually true; Buddhism doesn't demand you give up previous religious beliefs to begin with, and I've been reading Buddhist masters and incorporating their practices into my life.

Cause the Dalai Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh make a heck of a lot more sense than any Christian I've come across recently.

I love you. If I come out there, will you marry me?

Hey, why not, I'm polygamous. (NOT polyamorous, POLYGAMOUS, marriage has got to happen.)

Steve says, "As long as you can support all of us, I'm fine with it."
