After an exciting flight (the landing gear on the plane on the Montreal-Detroit leg got stuck) and a miserably long rush-hour drive to SD, we're home. We've found to our concern that Mei-Mei seems to be drinking and peeing a lot, so we're going to get her back on the gold-plated cat food that had been impossible to find for a while. We'll test her blood glucose after a few days if she's still being all renal on us because the gold-plated cat food goes FAR towards reversing that.

Here are some of the photos taken at the defense

IIRC, it's a Wal-Mart sweater.

Mei-Mei might have been drinking/peeing because of your departure? Yes, get her back on the gold-plated cat food, but see if she reacts better to you being home?

Teeks [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] has been sick with diarrhea, so...although those are vastly two different things, maybe being home might make all the difference?

AND YAY EVERYTHING. I got the invitation pretty much two days before. I luckily remember enough French to have been able to translate it on a whim :)

As I said, Smoke has something that my cat Beau did once. It's easily treated and if he's eating the right food it won't come back. Just be glad there wasn't bright red blood in it; Beau had that and it made me real frantic real quick.

They let you sit for the defense? Waaaaaaay easier than the Board! ^_-

Is the Board two and a half hours long?

There was another reason. I feel better lecturing while standing, but the podium there was too high for me. Plus I was operating a photo slide show via Powerpoint with no remote for the laptop, so sitting was the only way this could get done.

The Board is as long as Sergeant Major wants it to be, and you're at parade rest.

They wouldn't let you stand on a box for the podium? ^_-

I'm still looking forward to the videos.

....And does Sergeant Major usually make it two and a half hours?

We looked for something to stand on, but to no avail. McGill has little quarter-podiums that stand on the table and are much shorter, plus I remember their normal sized podiums being shorter too.

I'll request use of Steve's computer, which is where the videos are. He's been playing Final Fantasy when we haven't been torturing the cat.
