Mei-Mei's glucose was 204 at about 6:30. That's 64 over normal, but down from the "OMG emergency room!" level she was yesterday. She's down from peeing every two hours to a more normal every four.
This was scary, but looks like she'll make it. I'll call the vet first thing tomorrow. I've never met this vet, and I'm somewhat concerned about being yelled at for not taking Mei-Mei in and self-medicating her. My response is going to be, "We can afford you, we can't afford the ER. If we did nothing the cat would die. If we did this, the cat might not die. Which should we have chosen?"
Thanks for all prayers and good vibes.

Date: 2008-04-14 03:10 am (UTC)I gave Freyja an offering last night and did some intense prayer. I am glad Mei-Mei is pulling through, and yes, I would tell the vet just that if they decide to be bitchy about the ER and self-medication. ER for pets is not cheap.
