A girl sat behind me and got on her cell phone. She was crying; she'd been doing research for school at the library and lost it because Gmail wasn't working there and she'd been intending to send it to herself.

However I'd already lost sympathy because she'd lost track of time and...missed her massage appointment. And she REALLY NEEDED IT. OMG the world was absolutely ENDING because she'd MISSED HER MASSAGE APPOINTMENT.

Some people need perspective, I swear.

I talked to the vet, who recommended an oral insulin for Mei-Mei. To my delight, it's very cheap, $11.00 for a three-week supply as opposed to $61 for a bottle of Glargine. We'll see how it works, but it's an established drug so I'm optimistic.

I'm hoping to spend this evening at Matt's, eating pizza and playing Wii. My fun is low. But first, dishes.

I would have chosen that minute to yawn really loud, look at my watch if I was wearing one, and then say, "Hmmph" before looking out the window.

Also, because sometimes the Internets is made of FAIL, research done at libraries is best copied onto a disk and taken back home to work on. But, you know, I guess there are more important things to figure out, like massages. WTF-ever, if she can afford a personal massage then she's better off than most students.

:/

You can has fun now.

I texted Steve to tell him about the event. He texted back "lol".

I always save my research on paper, or on a thumb drive or my own laptop because you can't rely on machines not your own. Hopefully she only has to have this demonstrated to her once.

Although I keep forgetting that missing her massage takes precedence. It was too weird.

Must be nice, if the worst thing in your day.......enough to make your cry, is your email is down and you missed your pampering.

Thank Woden she didn't have to worry about finding enough food daily to feed herself, or her family. Or that she had to worry about someone trying to shoot at her, blow her up, or cut her head off.

Good thing she doesn't have to go out on the streets on a daily basis and beg for money to pay for her rent, or sell her honey pot to scummy men, to just get by.

Or even wonder daily if her partner, or parent, will get the medical care that he or she needs. That her kids might be press-ganged into some crazy religious militia and have a bomb strapped to them and sent onto a bus to blow themselves up.

*sigh*

It must really be nice to have major things like no email and no body massaging to ruin ones day. You, Teppy, are an evil bitch for not sympathizing with this poor, fragile, self indulgent little brat. Shame, shame on you. You need to reach out and help this poor, distraught bitch.

Use this as a learning moment that will help you make life better for those around you.

Next time, turn around and laugh at the twit. :)

Bad Teppy, baaaaad.

It's college students like her who make me reconsider going into academe once I'm done with this degree. Thankfully the generation after hers seems to have been raised with less narcissism.

I was sitting on a bus once and a girl suddenly started crying and carrying on like that.

She had just realized that she had lost her purse, which had her whole life in it and her lipstick. She declared to the entire bus that her life was "a disaster."

It was really cute and funny, though, because she was about seven years old.
