Busy weekend

lady_kishiriaMy three-day turned out to be way more work than I'd anticipated. We picked up the car at the Navy base mid-morning, got a very little shopping done at the commissary, and headed home. It was only a few hours before we headed out for the Cake With Us event, aka the Non-Wedding of a very unconventional relationship. (helenkacan, don't say a word; you can't begin to hold a candle to this one. I can tell you in e-mail.) That was in the lovely Quail Botanical Gardens with eight different varieties of cake. I tried about four. Which led to...
...helpingscinnalaeca and eosin move. I burned off all cake consumed and worked out my rumpy-rump by going up and down stairs. Their new condo, a three bedroom/2 bath dealie, is gorgeous. Two words though to eosin: YARD SALE. You don't need that plastic bowling set. Srsly.
At home we got a load of laundry done, picked up the house a little, and are now saying goodbye to this overly-busy Caturday with the traditional Cheeseburger and the cartoon shows on Fox because we don't have satellite anymore.
New job starts tomorrow. I'm worried more about long hours disallowing me from working out and keeping fit as well as seeingamericanstd and catsofblue. Private firm hours can be terrifying and that's on my mind.
