I read a cute quote in the latest NPR, the browner the church in the US gets the poorer it gets. I wonder though, for most of its history the US Catholic Church was poor immigrants and up and comers. I think the need to see how parochial schools can better serve all the church is called for.

Mom, alas, couldn't afford parochial school, so I have no idea what I am talking about.
