The big game

We parked near Petco Park and found that $3 parking was up to $20 because there was a game on (that the Padres lost miserably to Seattle 8-1). We started walking up to East Village and were treated to the sight of a homeless woman with her skirt hiked up, bent over, and washing her ass in front of God and everybody. "I think I'm going to be sick," was Oliver's response. We welcomed him to San Diego.
We started at a bar called The Corner which was empty, beautiful, quiet and serving cheap drinks. So of course we had to move to the Tilted Kilt across the street because Alex has digestive issues and he couldn't eat what was on the menu. The Kilt had no tables at first and the fire marshall was walking through there doing a head count. I'd already downed a Wyder's pear cider at The Corner and now had another. This was my first adventure in drinking before noon and I didn't much like the experience so I won't repeat it. I've never even had a Bloody Mary before 1 pm.
Eventually some of the elderly brunch crowd left so we got to sit. The game was a nail biter and the only ones cheering for Germany were

Home again, home again. Steve's passed out and I'm about to do dishes and head out for a box of baking soda so I can make banana bread. Catch you all later.
