They gave us a fourth roommate and she is full of fail.
She arrived Tuesday, and we had a heavy-duty inspection on Wednesday for which we had to move and clean under wall lockers and beds. She came in and just unpacked, crying all the time. Turns out that she is married and has an eight month old baby.
No, save the sympathy. There's more.
Okay, I can understand being upset, far from new child and coming into a room where your sweating and stinking roommies are moving around all the furniture. But you know...she could have volunteered to help. But the next morning for normal barracks maintenance and before the Wednesday night inspection she revealed herself to have the power to make herself disappear. Plus she texts all night while seemingly ignorant of the fact that she could, you know, turn the fucking key tones off and make the text alert "silent"
There are going to be words.
WE passed the inspection just fine, but others screwed up, which led to an unpleasant evening. The days of getting smoked are long behind me, but having a pissed-off First Sergeant inspecting your room at nearly 10 pm sucks.
School progresses apace. I need a second PT test in order to get Honour Grad. I may have already said this.

Date: 2008-07-24 10:44 pm (UTC)I'll tell you a story on my mother, who was a WAC during WWII. She was somewhere stateside and had gotten in trouble for her uniform skirt being wrinkled during a prior inspection, so this time she was going to wait till the last possible second to put her skirt on. Only the inspection started a few seconds before scheduled time. So when asked where her skirt was, she replied, "On the hanger, Ma'am."
For that one, along with whatever punishment, she got written up in Stars and Stripes.

However, being a Blue Falcon is not acceptable.
Upset is justifiable. Being a shammer is not.

We have GOT to get rid of her.
