Unfortunately, not only is it illegal, I'm out of them, so Army-issue Motrin will have to do. Today's run was a bit *too* successful.

Umm, prescription painkiller, actually, but it is classified as a narcotic hence its level of control. I had some given to me by the nice medics at the Aid Station on Prosperity last tour for a nasty little slash I got on my hand (had to sew a fingertip back on, along with the nail). Only enough for ten days, but those were ten days where I didn't even care I was in Iraq.

Since my usual painkillers are Advil and alcohol, my mileage may differ from others, but I thought it was really good stuff, and still do.

People *do* take Vicodin as a recreational, for the reasons you describe, and I wanted to make sure people didn't think you were one of them.

You got a nastier version of the same cut I took to the same finger with a Chinese cleaver in spring of 2007.
