Tale of Two Sisters

Has anyone here seen it and made sense of it? I pride myself in being able to make sense out of subtle films, but this one has me flummoxed.

It'll be next week before i have a chance to watch it, but I can always bump it up to the top of my queue and see if I can make heads or tails of it.

I've seen it, although it's been a while, and I recall it mostly making sense; the only part that threw me was the scenery shift/bloody bag of doll parts (at least, I think it was doll parts) scene towards the middle, although were I to watch it again, I'd probably find that my inability to really understand what was going on in that scene affected how I made sense of the rest of the film.

What in particular has you flummoxed?

I think the fast-moving montage of events before the wardrobe fell. Wikipedia says that what happened before that was that the dad brought the Stepmom-to-be home to flaunt in front of the mother, precipitating Mom's killing herself.
