Today's cuisine is Japanese

seki_raku took me out to lunch, so I had a spicy tuna roll and a ginger-broth udon. I just finished eating a red bean paste mochi--I'd forgotten how much I like those things.

Sick bears are sick, though. americanstd ate something that not only didn't agree with him but metaphorically tried to blow his car up with him inside because of his opinions. He spent the whole night hunched over the object in his icon.

I wasn't that much help to him because my headache came back and I realized today it's an infected sinus. I'm popping decongestants and wasabi.

Mei-Mei went to the vet this morning for her six month checkup and blood panel. We also did a blood pressure for the first time, which is not the quick and easy procedure it is for a human. The cuff goes around her tail and makes her growl because they have to do the squeezing five times in order to get the average. Her BP is just fine and the vet was happy with her weight gain, thick plushy coat and sweet disposition.

Home again, home again. We have nothing planned for this evening, and would cancel if we did because of Steve's poor tummy. I intend to sit on the couch and watch ghost-oriented DVDs that seki_raku loaned me.

I'm glad to hear the kitty is well.

I'm not glad to hear about the bear's tummy problems. Wish him "god bedring" (those are soft d's, pronounced like the th in gather). It means good bettering ;)
