Well, this is the thing. No, I can't point you to a direct quote, but obviously, I've read a lot about ghosts over the years because. Long story short, the Church admits that ghosts are possible. It has methods for dealing with them, which it wouldn't if it didn't think they could exist.

Much though Catholicism often has me wishing I'd been born Jewish, I am glad that unlike some churches it does not clap its hands over its ears and yell "LALALALALA, I can't hear you!" in the face of that which it can't explain. Better yet it goes for a psychological or even parapsychological explanation before it opts for "demonic". It admits for psychokinesis, as I've said about three times in other places.
