I have issues with some of these, but I guess they're generated by popular vote. I mean, "Finding Nemo" got onto it but none of the early great Walt Disney stuff? Some people have taste only in their mouths.

So I'm drinking my coffee with CNN turned on and I hear the commercial say, "blah blah blah internal Zeon processors".

That got my attention real quick. Apparently, Dell has a chip now called "Xeon" but pronounced "Zeon". This on top of an ad for alternative fuel for your GM.

Today Steve thought it would be a good day to hit the gardening store finally, as for the past two days we've had sun and relatively warm temperatures. Off we went to the gardening section of Loew's (the mom-and-pop gardening store near us is closed on Sunday, which is the stupidest thing, at least during gardening season). We came away with a Better Boy tomato plant, a jalapeno, a serrano, and some green bean seeds because Steve asked for them. I also have packets of cilantro, basil, chives, and CATNIP.

The vegetables are all in their pots on the sundeck. There's a step down from the part of the sundeck over the garage to the one over the bedroom, and I brought a cinderblock over to it so I could sit on the step with my harp on the cinderblock. It's just the right height, so I harped to the new plant arrivals for a bit, and now I'm off to plant my herb garden. I really must re-pot the strap cactus in a pot of its own; it's taking over the windowbox with the other succulents. Yummy salsas and salads, here we come.

Just got an e-mail from my bio-brother. I sent him a whole MRE (chicken breast; don't remember the menu number) last week. He wrote to me to tell me he was still deciding what wine would go best with it, and was choosing between a Cabernet or a Pinot Noir.

I told him that the chicken breast MRE had far too delicate a sauce for a red and recommended a Sauvignon Blanc, although since an MRE is meant to be eaten outside, perhaps a rose, that picnic wine par excellence, would be appropriate.

So. I had to go to Home Depot to get another bag of potting soil but now the herb seeds are in their new window box and the catnip seeds are in a separate pot. I'm waiting till tomorrow to re-plant the strap cactus. It's out of control enough that I think it will either go in a spill down from the loft or down from the roof. It'll look nice either way. I'm really hoping it'll bloom some time in the next year; strap cacti have this lovely white lily-like flower.

The landlord dropped by and now he's saying that he's *not* in a hurry to sell. Oooo-kay. He is, however, hoping for a tenant for the bottom. Contrary to what we'd been told before by the plumber, it does not flood; the recent rains proved that. He wants $850 for it, which is a very reasonable price. It's got a big kitchen, hardwood floors, fireplace, brand-new decadent bathroom (rainforest shower head!), and an enormous deck. If there are any takers on the friendslist, we'd be thrilled.
