Morning blood offering! (Not menstruation related)

Today I was prepping for tonights beef stew. My Chinese cleaver slipped and I got a nice slash right across the fingernail of my left ring finger.

Yeah, it hurt. Still does.

As I was standing there with my bleeding finger, I thought, "I'm supposed to do something with this, what is it?"

I couldn't hear what my remote Aztec ancestor was saying, so I just put pressure and a bandage on it.

(This btw is one of the reasons I don't worship my ancestral deities...I do not want to slash my earlobe or fingertips every morning during morning prayer! That and the Geneva Convention prohibits sacrificing your prisoners.)

They're only unsacrificable by the GCs if they meet the four requirements. OTOH, the Aztec captured theirs in open battle against other nations, so the gods might not find unlawful combatants worthy. :D

The Aztecs waged wars in order to obtain prisoners. The problem is, you wanted prisoners who had fought bravely, and in the recent operations, that's VERY hard to come by.

The kind of prisoners we get these days are totally up for sacrifice. Good luck convincing the Army this is a practice we should adopt, but we can totally do it.
